Because VISCO is such a small instrument, great efforts were made to ensure easy portability by designing it to operate on batteries. At production sites, access to a power supply may not always be available. While extension cords can be used as a solution, the goal was to minimize obstacles and improve mobility in busy manufacturing environments where people and equipment are constantly moving. With a battery-powered instrument, there is no need to deal with tangled cords or wires — simply bring VISCO to the sample and take a measurement.
